The Air Quality Permitting Program is pleased to announce the availability of two new electronic Air General Permits.
General Permit GP-012A, Perchlorethylene Dry Cleaning Equipment, allows permittees to install and operate single or multiple perchloroethylene drycleaning equipment equipped with a refrigerated condenser as the primary control and a carbon adsorber as the secondary control.
General Permit GP-016, Small Emitter General Air Permit (SEGAP), allows permittees to install and operate small-emitting sources of air pollution, such as conveyors, mixers, and extruders, as long as emissions vent through a single emission point and the uncontrolled potential to emit (PTE) is less than the reporting threshold for all air contaminants.
Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:27-8.4(c), persons submitting GP-012A and GP-016 applications must now do so through the NJDEP Online website (www.njdeponline.com). Paper applications for these permits will no longer be accepted. For more information regarding the requirements in these permits, please visit http://www.nj.gov/dep/aqpp/gp.html.
