The “NJDEP Division of Air Quality Risk Screening Worksheet for Long-Term Carcinogenic and Noncarcinogenic Effects and Short-Term Effects” has been revised. In addition to some minor changes to the layout of the worksheet, such as numbering of pollutant rows and removal of most synonyms, the worksheet has been updated with a number of new toxicity values. The specific changes are summarized in the document “Revisions to the NJDEP/DAQ Risk Screening Worksheet” (dated August 1, 2011). Toxicity values and their references are listed in the following documents: 1) Unit Risk Factors for Inhalation, 2) Reference Concentrations for Inhalation, and 3) Reference Concentrations for Short-Term Inhalation Exposure. The updated toxicity values are from USEPA (primarily from the Integrated Risk Information System) and ATSDR.
