Permit Renewals

1) Go to www.njdeponline.com.

2) Click on "Log In Here" button to log into the portal.

3) Enter your ID and Password to log on to My New Jersey.

4) Click on “DEPOnline Services” on the State of New Jersey web page.

5) On your My Workspace page, check the following:

  • Ensure that the facility that you are paying the renewal bill for is in your user profile. In your My Workspace page, scroll down to the section called "My Facilities/Program Interests". Make sure your facility is listed in this section. If it's not, add it by clicking on the "Add Facilities" button.
  • Ensure that you have Responsible Official access for your facility. In the "My Facilities/Program Interests" section, check the information for your facility under the Access Type column. If it says "Individual with Direct Knowledge", click on the Change Access icon right next to it. On the following screen, click the pulldown menu in the "Change Acccess Type To:" field and select Responsible Official, then click Continue. On the following screen, check off the "I agree." checkbox, then click Continue. Then click Continue one last time on the following screen. You'll now have the proper access level to pay for renewal bills.
  • Ensure that the Permit/Certificate Renewal service is available in your user profile. While in the My Workspace page, go to the section called "Service Selection". There should be a clickable link called Permit/Certificate Renewals. If you don't see it, click on the Configure Services button. On the subsequent screen, find the item called Permit/Certificate Renewals and check off the adjacent box. Scroll down and click the OK button to return to the My Workspace page. You should now see a clickable link for Permit/Certificate Renewals.
  • Obtain a Certification PIN code if you don't have one already. Click on User Profile tab at the top of the screen. A sub-menu will appear directly under that. Click the link for "Request Cert PIN" and request a PIN. You will get a PIN code by e-mail within a couple of minutes.

6) Click on the Permit/Certificate Renewals link in the Service Selection portion of the My Workspace page.

7) On the next screen, select the facility then click the Access Facility button. The renewal bill should be visible on this screen. Click the continue button.

8) On the next screen check off the box(es) for the bill(s) you want to pay, then enter your PIN code in the Certification PIN field. Click the Certify button at the bottom of the page.

9) The next screen should say that certification is successful. If not, ensure that you entered the PIN code correctly. (I normally copy/paste the code directly from the e-mail). Click on the Continue button to proceed to the Payment Summary screen.

10) Check off the box(es) for the bill(s) you want to pay and select the payment method (Credit Card or eCheck).

11) Follow payment instructions on subsequent screens.

12) To print the updated 5 year certificate, follow the instructions by clicking here.
