ULEV – means Ultra Low-Emission Vehicle. A motor vehicle which has been certified as not exceeding the applicable standards set forth in N.J.A.C. 7:27-26.4.

USEPA – means United State Environmental Protection Agency.

Ultraviolet B (UVB) —a type of sunlight.  The ozone in the stratosphere, high above the Earth, filters out the ultraviolet B rays and keeps them from reaching the Earth.  Ultraviolet B exposure has been associated with skin cancer, eye cataracts and damage to the environment.  Thinning of the ozone layer in the stratosphere results in increase amounts of ultraviolet B reaching the Earth.
