Several other DEP volunteers collected 17 bags of garbage from the fishing areas and pedestrian paths along the canal. Among the items collected throughout the day were a hot tub cover, tarp, volleyball net, tire, ottoman, construction debris, bike frame and tons of bottles, cans and wrappers.
