| Created by legislation in 1954, the Clean Air Council
makes recommendations to the Commissioner of the Department
of Environmental Protection on matters and programs pertaining
to air pollution control.
Invited speakers from federal, state, and local regulatory
agencies, citizen's groups, commerce and industry will
be scheduled. The public is invited to participate
in the discussions or to provide a formal presentation.
In addition, Council members will be available to
listen to and respond to citizens' comments after the
hearing.
Anyone wishing to make a formal oral presentation is
asked to reserve, by April 5, 2000, a 15-minute time period

Presenters should bring 15 copies of their remarks
to the hearing for use by the Council members, the hearing
transcriber, and members of the press. The hearing
record will remain open until May 12, 2000 so that additional
