Proposed Readoption with Amendments: N.J.A.C. 7:26G Environmental Regulation, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Program, Compliance and Enforcement Division of County Environmental and Waste Enforcement, Public Notice

Take notice that the NJ Department of Environmental Protection is proposing to readopt with Amendments the Hazardous Waste rules at N.J.A.C. 7:26G. A statement of the substance of the proposal follows: The Department proposes to readopt the rule with amendments that incorporate the most current Federal regulations by reference. Subchapters 14 and 15, concerning the rules of the Hazardous Waste Facilities Siting Commission, will be allowed to expire since the Commission is not operational and the Department has no authority to readopt its rules. Additionally, N.J.A.C. 7:26G-6.2 and 6.3 and the appendix to subchapter 6 are being repealed in favor of the new Federal manifest regulations. The proposal was published in the New Jersey Register dated May 21, 2007. (more)

A statement of the substance of the proposal follows: N.J.A.C. 7:26-3A.8, 4.2-4.5; 7:26A and 7:26G-3.3g identify the regulations that support fees for solid waste, regulated medical waste and hazardous waste; respectively.
