The Treatment Works Approval (TWA) Section of this bureau regulates the construction and operation of industrial and domestic wastewater collection, conveyance and treatment facilities, including treatment plants, pumping stations, interceptors, sewer mains and other collection, holding and conveyance systems. The program is aimed at protecting the waters of the state by preventing the entry of increased pollutants from inadequate facilities.

The Construction Management Section of this bureau assures the integrity of the construction and initial operational phases of projects funded through The New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Financing Program, The Pinelands Infrastructure Fund, Applicable Federal Grants and The Sewerage Infrastructure Improvement Act program. The section assists both public and private funded entities.
