Deficiencies |
Below are some common permit application deficiencies:
Municipal Discharge Permits
- Items requested on the application forms are left blank. All information requested should be provided. If a particular item does not apply, please indicate "not applicable."
- All signatures on all forms are not dated.
Industrial Discharge Permits
- Data for all pollutants are not listed on NJDEP Form C, Supplemental Application Form to NJPDES-1 for Industrial NJPDES/DSW Permits.
- Plot plans don't clearly show all of the facility's outfalls.
- Proof that the proposed project is consistent with the applicable Water Quality Management Plan (WQMP)is missing. Consistency Determinations are issued by the Office of Land and Water Planning (609-633-1179). Written proof of Consistency Determination issued by WQMP by should be submitted to the Office of Permit Management.
- Local Notice - Evidence of Permit Application Submission to the Affected Sewerage Entity(ies) and Municipality are not submitted. Should include copies of mail return receipts or other means of verification of receipt.
