quarryMining & Quarrying Activity (R13)

This general permit authorizes stormwater and certain process wastewater discharges to surface water and stormwater-only discharges to groundwater for facilities involved in mining and quarrying operations.

Mining and quarrying activities are no longer authorized under the Construction General Permit (5G3) NJ0088323 or the Basic General Permit (5G2) NJ088315. The Department has modified the Construction General Permit (5G3) NJ0088323 to remove authorization eligibility for all mining and quarrying operations.
