The RMW Programs goal is to protect health care providers and workers, waste haulers, refuse workers and the general public from potential health risks associated with RMW. The Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Health and Senior Services jointly share responsibilities to administer this program.

DEP and DHSS inspectors use a checklist during a RMW inspection to assist then in determining your compliance with RMW regulations. This is the checklist used by the DHSS on routine RWM generator inspections. Use this checklist to gauge your compliance with the regulations.

RMW Generator Questions & Answers

Annual Generator Report Sample

This 4 page form is mailed to all registered RMW generators.
Registered Generators are required to:

1.	Complete and submit this form to the DEP by July 21 each year
2.	Record all amounts of RMW generated on-site in the reporting period (June 22 thru June 21)
3.	Keep a copy of the completed form on-site. Failure to have a copy of this report in your files is a violation of NJAC 7:26-3A.21(f)

Transporter Fact Sheet

> New Jersey Authorized Commercial Regulated RMW Transporters

Generators must use only medical waste transporters that are registered with the Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste, NJDEP and who possess a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (N.J.A.C. 7:26-3A.27) from the NJDEP (609) 292-7081 (N.J.A.C. 7:26-3A.16(d)). .
