Attention, new and Established Pesticide Applicator
Businesses, Applicators and Operators: You may take this class
for recertification credit or as a "Basic Pesticide Training
Course." Class is offered at Trenton testing site only.
Remember that before you enter into business
for yourself, you must first register that business with the
Pesticide Control Program. If you are a little uneasy about
all the pesticide regulations, you're not alone. Many businesses
are worried about a first time inspection. That is why the Bureau
of Pesticide Compliance is offering an optional (and free!)
program designed to teach you everything you need to do to avoid
costly penalties for not following the regulations properly.
The program, or mini class, will be taught by
the Senior Inspectors of the Pesticide Control Program. Topics
to be covered are: proper licensing for all members of your
business, record keeping, proper maintenance of pesticide storage
areas, service vehicle requirements and how to comply with the
current notification requirements. No violations will be cited
for non-compliance noted during the class (the purpose will
be to inform and educate, not issue citations).
Sign up by mailing or faxing a completed Class
Registration Form to the PCP office as described in
the form.
You can also sign up by e-mail. Include the following
items in your message:
- Name
- Mailing address
- Applicator License # (if you have one)
- Phone #
- Fax #
- 1st and 2nd class date desired (select from
form)
- Indicate whether you are taking the course
for recert credits, basic training, or both.
Email
Joe Labella with any questions. Class conformation and directions
will be sent by email.
