In 2001, the NJDEP-Pesticide Control Program,
along with health officers representing the County Environmental
Health Act (CEHA) Programs from Hudson and Essex Counties,
implemented a pilot school IPM project within their respective
counties. The intention of the project was to provide the
participating schools with awareness to IPM principles and
practices in preparation for future legislation requiring
IPM in schools in New Jersey.
