Hunter Education Field Session and Exam Registration
Take your Hunter Education field session and exam NOW; see the course schedule and registration page. Students are urged to attend a class soon to avoid the fall rush and the possibility of missing the hunting season. The final step in obtaining a Hunter Education card is attending, and passing, the Hunter Education Field Session and Exam. Field sessions/exams are offered at a number of locations between March and November, on weekends and weekdays, making it as convenient as possible for students to complete the course. Before attending, students must complete the home study materials including the workbook. See the main Hunter Education page for detailed information. Students are encouraged to check the Course Locations and Information page for class information before going to the Division's license Web site which has the session/exam schedule. The license Web site includes the Hunter Education registration page. The Division's license Web site is www.wildlifelicense.com/nj/. It is on this Web site you will find the field session/exam schedule and be able to register. You will need to select the option for Hunter Education Class registration during the Hunter Education season (registration opens in February). All students under 18 are required to have a signed Consent Form (pdf, 9kb) with them at the field session/exam. NOTE: Students are required to arrive at the session location at 8am (unless stated otherwise) with their completed workbook. Anyone arriving after the start time or without a completed workbook will not be admitted to the session. If you need assistance or have questions contact the Hunter Education Office at 856-629-0552 or 877-2-HUNT-NJ (toll-free), or via e-mail at njhuntered@dep.state.nj.us. |
