NASP Tournament Results, 2013-2018

2018 NJ NASP STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The 2018 NJ NASP State Tournament was conducted as a virtual shoot in which schools hosted official tournaments in their own gymnasiums. The program had 247 archers from 14 schools compete in the 2018 state tournament. Division of Fish and Wildlife staff and volunteer officials attended each tournament to ensure tournament rule compliance and to verify scoring results.

The first place schools in the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions qualified to attend the NASP National Tournament in Kentucky in May. In addition, the top ten male and female individual archers in each division also qualify for nationals if they do not attend with their school team.

Congratulations to all archers who participated in the 2018 NJ NASP State Tournament! The Division of Fish and Wildlife is proud to announce the final results:

  • Elementary School Division: Angelo L Tomaso Elementary School, Team Score of 2504
  • Middle School Division: Oxford Central School, Team Score of 3175
  • High School Division: Warren Hills Regional High School, Team Score of 3067
  • Top male archer in New Jersey: Dylan Hourihan of Warren Hills with a score of 279
  • Top female archer in New Jersey: Sara Quigley of Warren Hills with a score of 282
2017 NJ NASP STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The 2017 NJ NASP State Tournament was conducted as a virtual shoot in which schools hosted an official tournament in their own gymnasiums. We had 295 archers (134 female and 161 male) from 16 schools compete in this year's state tournament. Division of Fish and Wildlife staff and volunteer officials attended each tournament to ensure tournament rule compliance and to verify scoring results.

The first place schools in the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions qualified to attend the NASP National Tournament in Kentucky in May. In addition, the top ten male and female individual archers in each division also qualify for nationals if they do not attend with their school team.

Congratulations to all archers who participated in the 2017 NJ NASP State Tournament! We are proud to announce the final results:

  • Elementary School Division: Angelo L Tomaso Elementary School, Team Score of 2825
  • Middle School Division: Oxford Central School, Team Score of 3273
  • High School Division: Warren Hills Regional High School, Team Score of 3214
  • Top male archer in New Jersey: Dylan Hourihan of Warren Hills with a score of 284
  • Top female archer in New Jersey: Isabella Gilberti of Oxford Central School with a score of 284

2016 NJ NASP STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The NJ NASP State Tournament was conducted as a virtual shoot in which schools hosted an official shoot at their own school. We had 304 archers (134 females and 170 males) from 16 schools compete in this year's state tournament, making this New Jersey's largest state tournament ever! Fish and Wildlife staff and volunteer NASP instructors attended all virtual tournaments to ensure tournament rules were followed and to verify scoring results.

The first place schools in the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions qualified to attend the NASP National Tournament in Kentucky in May. In addition, the top ten male and female individual archers in each division also qualify for nationals if they do not attend with their school team.

  • 1st Place Elementary School Team: Angelo L. Tomaso School, Warren Township
  • 1st Place Middle School Team: Oxford Central School, Oxford Township
  • 1st Place High School Team: Warren Hills High School, Warren Hills
  • Top Female Archer in New Jersey: Alexandra Lino from Oxford Central School with a score of 288
  • Top Male Archer in New Jersey: Andrew Galloway from West Morris Central High School with a score of 282

2015 NJ NASP STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

The 2015 NJ NASP State Tournament was conducted as a virtual shoot in which schools hosted a shoot at their own school and submitted scores online. We had 170 archers from 9 schools compete in this year's state tournament. Staff and volunteer instructors attended all virtual tournaments to ensure tournament rules were followed and to verify scoring results.

The first place schools in the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions qualified to attend the NASP National Tournament in Kentucky in May. In addition, the top ten male and female individual archers in each division also qualify for nationals if they do not attend with their school team.

  • 1st Place Elementary School Team: Angelo L. Tomaso School, Warren Township
  • 1st Place Middle School Team: Oxford Central School, Oxford Township

  • Top Female Archer in New Jersey: Nicolette Hourihan from Oxford Central School and Jackie Farkas from Warren Hills High School tied with a score of 283
  • Top Male Archer in New Jersey: Ben Dupont from Warren Hills High School with a score of 289

2014 NJ NASP STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

On February 28 and March 1, 2014, New Jersey hosted its first NJ NASP State Tournament. Although we have hosted virtual tournaments in the past, this was our first live tournament.

The tournamnet had 179 archers from 10 schools compete; four schools attended the live shoot at Oxford Central School while six schools held a virtual tournament at their own school. All virtual shoots were attended by a NASP official to ensure proper scoring and that tournament guidelines were followed.

The first place schools in the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions qualified to attend the NASP National Tournament in Kentucky in May. In addition, the top ten male and female individual archers in each division also qualify for nationals if they do not attend with their school team.

Thanks to the archers, coaches, friends, family, and volunteers that came out to support everyone! And congratulations to all archers who participated in the 2014 NJ NASP State Tournament! We are proud to announce the final results:

2013 VIRTUAL STATE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

In late winter, 2013, New Jersey hosted the first Virtual NASP State Tournament with more than 100 students throughout the state participating. Each participating school hosted an in-house tournament and submitted scores via e-mail. The first place schools in the Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions qualified to attend the NASP National Tournament in Kentucky in May. In addition, the top five male and female individual archers in each division also qualify for nationals if they do not attend with their school team.
