The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish and Wildlife will host a public meeting regarding a proposed amendment to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission's (ASMFC's) Interstate Fishery Management Plan for Atlantic Striped Bass. The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at Kean University Center, Room 226 A&B, 1000 Morris Ave. in Union.
The meeting is intended to gather public comment on the long-term management of Atlantic coast striped bass stocks including input on scientific, management and policy issues. Public meetings have also been scheduled for many other states along the East Coast.
