The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish & Wildlife announces an important check station change in Ocean County for the 2002-2003 deer seasons. Hunters are reminded that they should check in their deer at the station closest to the harvest location.
Murphy's Hook House on Rt. 37 East in Toms River will no longer check in deer. Hunters may instead check their deer at Grizz's Bait and Tackle, Route 9 in Forked River; Brick Armory, 231 Chambers Bridge Road in Brick; Point Boro Sports, Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant; or the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10061, 20 Union Avenue in Lakehurst during all six of the deer seasons.
