The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife announced several changes and additions to the official turkey check station list for the 1999 Spring Gobbler Hunting Season beginning April 26. The modifications are as follows:
Check Station Changes:
Clinton Outfitters, 2020 Route 31 North, Glen Gardner, Hunterdon County (formerly located at 1738 Route 31 North in Clinton)Check Station Additions:
Buck-N-Bass Sport Center, Route 15, Jefferson, Morris County (formerly Accurate Archery)
Maurice River Sport Center, 329 West Main Street, Millville, Cumberland CountyHunters are reminded that all harvested wild turkeys must be taken to an official checking station by 3 p.m. on the day of harvest. The Division operates more than 60 turkey check stations throughout the state to collect valuable information on the wild turkey harvest in New Jersey. A complete list may be found in the 1999 NJ Wild Turkey Hunting Permit Application and Season Information Supplement available at hunting license agents and Division offices statewide.
