Rebuild By Design – Hudson River
Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS)  

As part of the environmental review process, NJDEP prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).  The DEIS describes the purpose and need for the project, the alternatives considered, the NEPA Preferred Alternative, anticipated environmental impacts, project benefits, and potential mitigation measures.

Notifications

Public Hearing:

NJDEP held a public hearing from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on March 16, 2017.  The hearing location was DeBaun Auditorium at 24 5th Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030.  A copy of the public hearing presentation and a handout distributed at the hearing can be found under notifications.

Comments on the DEIS will be accepted through April 10, 2017 and can be submitted online at the email address rbd-hudsonriver@dep.nj.gov or through regular mail at the below address.

AVAILABILITY OF THE DEIS: Electronic copies of the DEIS are available for public review on the following websites: www.rbd-hudsonriver.nj.gov and www.nj.gov/dca/divisions/sandyrecovery/review. CDs and copies of the DEIS will also be available for review at the following locations during regular business hours:
