Map Description:

This is a simple street map of a small suburban town in New Jersey, called Medford Lakes. The existing street map for the town is useful and readable, but could be more appealing. Also, the street name index is not well integrated with the map, and it was missing other cartographic elements such as a scale bar, north arrow, etc. Because of these problems, I decided to use ArcMap and the Maplex labeling extension to produce a new street map for the borough. The result is relatively simple, but provides a more modern looking street map and includes standard map content that was previously omitted.
