On June 3rd, 2011 the NJDEP Green Acres Program celebrates its 50th anniversary. This map was prepared in celebration of the programs success. Green Acres has helped to preserve over 1.2 million acres of New Jersey’s natural landscape, protecting water quality and wildlife habitat and providing the public with parks, beaches, historic sites and natural areas to enjoy in perpetuity. The map shows the location of these lands and the organization that administers them: state, federal, county and various nonprofits.
