NJDEP has released the updated Landscape Version 3.1: Species Based Habitat Project Data. Due to various difficulties, we are unable to provide this update in NJDEP's i-MapNJ mapping application. Restrictions with the release also mandate that the older Landscape 2.1 and 3.0 be removed from external distribution to avoid conflict. NJDEP will be providing Landscape Version 3.1 in NJ-GeoWeb. The new update is also available on our download page Welcome to i-MapNJ DEP, one of NJDEP's environmental mapping tools that can provide you with information about your neighborhood, county, or state (NJ). With this easy-to-use application, users can view and query the best of the NJDEP's Geographic Information System (GIS) data. Homeowners can find out what's in their backyard; environmental organizations, planners, realtors, and builders can identify open space, various regulatory boundaries, sensitive lands, watersheds, and much, much more. The i-MapNJ DEP application updates the GIS layers found in the other NJDEP i-MapNJ applications. (This application does not provide a link to the NJEMS enterprise NJDEP database. The enhancement of this function is planned for a later release.) Although the application is very user friendly, you might want to first review the Tutorials before diving in. Then take it for a test drive and see for yourself how much environmental information you can access. Remember, to use the i-MapNJ DEP application you need only open your browser, connect to the internet, go to the DEP-BGIS webpage, click on Interactive Mapping and then click on i-MapNJ DEP to launch the application. If you have a question or comment, please contact us and we will be sure to get back to you as soon as we can.
