Map Description:

This one acre grid analysis assesses water quality and water quantity constraints to locating new public community drinking water wells. The groundwater quality constraints, identified from source water protection strategies, could potentially contaminate the source water of drinking water wells causing increased monitoring, treatment, and potentially remove the well from service. The water quantity portion of the analysis maps constraints to all state allocated groundwater uses such as agriculture, industrial, as well as drinking water. Each analysis can be used independently for planning future groundwater diversions, however the summed cumulative values of both the quality and quantity concern types provides a complete picture of the constraints to locating a new public drinking water well.
