Map Description:

This project came to fruition in order to help streamline the CADB Farmland Application Process. For every Farmland Preservation application, the CADB needs to analyze the NRCS SSURGO soil types on every farmland applicant, among other criteria. This model streamlined the process by creating a one-click solution, which clipped the SSURGO soils to the selected farmland applicant, recalculated the acreage of the soils, and populated a summary table with the soil types (prime and statewide). This model was also placed in a map project template, which included all the necessary layers, symbology, legend, and text boxes.
