The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Geographic Information
Systems is offering a no-cost training opportunity for the general public. Each class will include instruction
on the use of DEP's updated internet mapping application - i-MapNJ DEP and will touch on the department's
informational reporting tool - DEP Data Miner.
i-MapNJ DEP
is the DEP's newest internet mapping application, giving users the ability to explore the Department's most
current GIS layers (including Land Use 2002, NJEMS Sites, and Wetlands 2002 - see
February 2007 release).
Create your own maps with this quick, easy to use, informative application. A review of the
DEP Data Miner will also be
included to show how to link the results of your geographic analysis with real-time environmental data in a searchable format.
