Municipal Public Access Planning & Municipal Coastal Vulnerability Assessment Grant Program
||Project proposal must be submitted by 5:00 PM, June 6th to be considered. Any project proposal received after June 6th shall not be eligible for funding during the grant 2014 calendar year funding cycle.
||Final funding decisions for this funding cycle are anticipated by August 1.

Purpose of Funding
To provide an incentive to eligible municipalities to develop Municipal Public Access Plans, and incentivize coastal communities to assess their vulnerability to coastal hazards.
Source of Funding
This Municipal Public Access Planning Grant Program is funded through a grant awarded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), of the U.S. Department of Commerce, that funds the continued implementation of New Jersey’s Coastal Zone Management Program.

Who is Eligible
New Jersey municipalities which contain lands and tidal waters subject to public trust rights, as defined in the Coastal Zone Management rules at N.J.A.C. 7:7E-3.50(a), are eligible. Qualifications Required for Consideration
This grant program will provide grant awards of up to $25,000.
