On November 21,2001, 96.7 acres were added to the State's Limestone Ridge Project area. Ridge and Valley Conservancy will manage the site for the Green Acres Program while working closely with the State Division of Parks and Forestry to develop a trail link to the adjacent Paulins Kill Valley Trail.

The property lies within the Appalachian Valley and Ridge Physiographic Province, which stretches from Alabama to Vermont and traverses the northwestern corner of New Jersey. Hikers will find themselves among mossy limestone outcrops that are habitat for rare plants. Other highlights of the property include a mature deciduous hardwood forest and fern-lined former logging trails that are sure to make for a pleasant hiking experience. The new Ridge and Valley Conservancy trail branch will be within easy walking distance of the Paulins Kill Valley Trailhead at Footbridge Park in Blairstown.
