Greater Newark Conservancy

The Greater Newark Conservancy has developed a comprehensive Outdoor Learning center in Newark using Green Acres nonprofit grant funding. Located in Newark, the Center includes a variety of thematic gardens and landscapes that will serve as the basis for programs in environmental science, ecology and horticulture. The Conservancy is restoring an 1884 former synagogue, listed on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places, located adjacent to the Outdoor Learning Center. The building will be used in part to support the outdoor facilities.
