PERMITTING RESPONSIBILITIES:
The DEP-Online system retrieves and stores information in the New Jersey Environmental Management System (NJEMS). NJEMS is an enterprise decision support and data management system, which manages daily work activities, tasks, and information for all environmental media groups within the department. DEP-Online uses various methods for the review and issuance of permits. Some services, such as air general permits can be applied for online and issued via the website, without review by department staff. Other services such as underground storage tank modifications and registrations and Land Use applications require department staff review. All permits are issued to the applicant through the NJEMS and DEP-Online systems once a permit decision is made.
PUBLICATIONS AVAILABLE:
All related documentation, including forms to establish accounts and supporting technical documents are available online at the DEP-Online site.
