Information on NJDEP's OPRA implementation
NJ State Law
Effective July 7, 2002, NJDEP is required to implement the New Jersey
Open Public Records Act or "OPRA" ( P.L. 2001, CHAPTER 404,
N.J.S. 47:1A-1 et seq.).
Governor McGreevey's Executive
Order #21, signed July 8, 2002, detailed exceptions
to OPRA.
Executive Order #26 Details
Governor's new Executive Order #26 modifies requirements in EO #21.

DEP Proposed Rule
NJDEP proposed it's rules for implementing OPRA in the NJ Register
on July 1, 2002.
DEP Proposed Procedure
To expedite your request, NJDEP recommends that you complete your
OPRA Request using our Online OPRA Request
Form.
