"Quality Assurance" or "QA" means the
integrated system of operations and measurements performed
to assure that data meets defined standards of quality with
a stated level of confidence.
"Quality Control" or "QC" means the practice
of standardized operations or measurements which determine
one or more aspects of data quality. An example is the evaluation
of precision and accuracy data of an analytical method by
statistical methods for the purpose of establishing control
limits within which future precision and accuracy data must
fall.
