Jersey Shore on

2002 State Arbor Day Celebration
and
Tree
Planting Event
at
Silver Lake in Belmar Borough
on Ocean Ave. between 5th
and 6th Avenues
Monmouth County, New Jersey
Tree Planting will begin
at 8:00 am
Ceremony at 11:00 am

Planting Event
Volunteers are
welcome to take part in the Arbor Day Tree Planting Event.
Over 80 trees will be planted around the perimeter
of Silver Lake, adding much needed shade to this very popular
site.
Volunteers will
be instructed on proper planting techniques and will receive
a free Arbor Day t-shirt and lunch.

Governor
James E. McGreevey
has been invited to present the awards to the 25th,
10th, and 1st year Tree City USA communities,
the Joyce Kilmer Award recipient, and the Student Arbor Day
Song Contest Winners.
