Fall Acorn Collection

Home Grown Tree Program

The most common oak species in New Jersey

The Today's Acorns = Tomorrow's Trees program runs from September through October. The NJ Tree Nursery needs your acorns to grow the trees of tomorrow. Use 1 gallon plastic milk jugs to collect acorns. Store them in a dry and cool place with the cap off. Drop them off at the NJ Tree Nursery or one of the Acorn Drop-off Points. Please collect acorns from all oak species.
