COMPACT NEWS
The Northeast
Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Compact has
secured an approximately 50 year arrangement with the State
of South Carolina for access to the LLRW disposal facility in
Barnwell, South Carolina for LLRW generated in New Jersey and
Connecticut. The arrangement includes the admittance of South
Carolina to the Northeast Compact that will now be known as
the Atlantic Compact. You can visit the Atlantic

This arrangement
was secured without the use of taxpayer monies. Details of this
