TRITIUM ILLUMINATION DEVICES

The purpose of this advisory is to provide a list of manufacturers who can be contacted for the return and disposal of consumer product/devices that contain tritium. Examples of such items include tritium exit signs, wristwatches and compasses.

If such products/devices are not disposed of properly, they may fall into the hands of individuals who are not aware of the hazards associated with damaging or disassembling them.

The inclusion of this list does not imply endorsement or recommendation by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection or any other State Agency. The absence of a firm’s name does not indicate the Department has judged the firm unsuitable to provide such services. The listing is current and complete, according to the information made available to the Department. The following list is supplied for informational purposes only.
