NJ GeoWeb
With NJ-GeoWeb users can view and query NJDEP’s available Geographic Information System (GIS) data. NJ-GeoWeb users can link to reports from DEP Data Miner (www.nj.gov/dep/opra/online.html) to access up to the minute environmental data related to selected features appearing on the map.
The NJ-GeoWeb profile was developed to allow users to explore a location or area of interest and view and query a great number of mapped environmental layers.
During 2011, GIS data has been developed for parcel ownership, landfills over 35 acres and 10 of the 31 Brownfield Development Areas (http://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/brownfields/bda).
SAGE has been collaborating with OIRM to provide additional data layers and we anticipate uploading the BDA and Landfill sites to NJ-GeoWeb in phases as the GIS data becomes available.
By providing the boundaries of these sites on NJ-GeoWeb it will allow developers and other interested stakeholders to view various environmental and economic growth layers simultaneously; thereby putting critical decision making information at the stakeholder’s fingertips.
