America Recycles Day (held annually on November 15) includes thousands of events across the United States designed to promote the social, environmental and economic benefits of recycling.
The DEP is a proud participant in the America Recycles Day program in New Jersey because the campaign strives to get the word out by promoting local awareness efforts and by encouraging as many people as possible, both in person and through the internet, to sign pledge cards. These pledge cards ask people to commit to recycling more and to purchasing more recycled products. At the national level, the number of events and pledge cards submitted have increased each year.
Highlights
The signed pledge cards are entered into state and local prize drawings. Go to the website below for a current list of prizes.
