Coastal Workshop for Teachers

This weekend workshop is held annually at the Wetlands Institute in Cape May County, generally the weekend before the Memorial Day weekend. Participants enroll in three of nine courses offered each year. Course topics include wetlands wildlife, barrier islands, coastal birds, wildlife management, marine resources and human impacts on these resources. Costs average $130 per person and include room, board and instruction.

Highlights

  • Ecotour or bay tour with the Delaware Schooner Project.

  • Emphasis is placed on hands-on, outdoor field experiences.

  • College credit is available for the program, see webpage for details.
