
This contest is designed to introduce students to the variety or fish found in the Garden State. Each entry must include an original drawing depicting a New Jersey fish in its habitat, and a written biography of that fish. For complete requirements click on the link below.
Highlights
Participation in this contest introduces students to the valuable roles that various fish play in aquatic ecosystems in New Jersey.
A first and second place winner will be chosen from each grade level in grades 4 - 8.
Each winner receives a framed certificate and a variety of fishing equipment. In addition, each winner will be invited to the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center in Warren county for a special VIP tour and awards ceremony.
