This contest is designed to introduce students to the variety or fish found in the Garden State. Each entry must include an original drawing depicting a New Jersey fish in its habitat, and a written biography of that fish. For complete requirements click on the link below.

Highlights

• Participation in this contest introduces students to the valuable roles that various fish play in aquatic ecosystems in New Jersey.

• A first and second place winner will be chosen from each grade level in grades 4 - 8.

• Each winner receives a framed certificate and a variety of fishing equipment. In addition, each winner will be invited to the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center in Warren county for a special VIP tour and awards ceremony.
