The nature program at Parvin State Park, located in Salem County, is designed to inform and increase people's interests in, and appreciation of, the out-of-doors. Various facets of the program are designed to develop each participant's powers of observation and cultivate a sense of stewardship, through such activities as guided walks, slide and video programs, nature crafts, outdoor sketching, aquatic studies, birding seminars and tree identification.

Highlights

• A variety of adaptable, multi-sensory activities, including guided interpretive walks and a Nature Scavenger Hunt, are offered for nearly all age groups. (Programs are limited to 30 participants per activity.)

• The craft activities utilize recyclable and natural products that are readily available at the park, at home, and at school.

• These no-cost programs are designed to stimulate a sense of fun and discovery with all ages.
