Clean Water Raingers Program

Designed for elementary school students in grades 1-6, this student action program provides teachers with the resources needed to teach about, and then involve students in, such water related concepts as watersheds, nonpoint source pollution, water conservation and aquatic habitats. Students learn about simple behaviors, skills and actions that they can undertake to help protect tge state's waterways and water supply. The materials are free of charge.

Highlights

  • Students are provided with their own "How to be a Clean Water Rainger" booklet, coloring book (grades 1-3), stickers, crossword puzzles, word search and other activity sheets, and pledge cards.

  • Teachers are given additional background information, answer keys, and suggested activities that help to maximize the usefulness of the Clean Water Raingers materials.
