This is a listing of all the events held at the state parks, forests, recreation areas and historic sites. The listing includes holiday celebrations as well as seasonal and historical events. In addition, the listing includes phone numbers for all New Jersey state parks, forests, recreation areas, historic sites and interpretive programs. Examples include: the annual reenactment of George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River; the annual 18-mile run beginning at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park; Open Air Theater productions at Washington Crossing State Park; Cat-tales: Children's Story House at Kittatinny Valley State Park; and, the annual Crafter's Market at Allaire Village.
HighlightsThe array of programs offered statewide include: natural history programs and walks; children and family events; art shows; tours; flea markets; historical reenactments; concerts; plays and races.
Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter events fliers are produced and distributed each year. An additional Holiday flier is developed for the months of November through January.
