Underground Storage Tanks (UST) 1998 Tank Upgrade Requirements

Financial Assistance

On August 30, 1997, Governor Whitman signed the law establishing the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Remediation, Upgrade and Closure Fund to be administered jointly by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. The Fund is to be used to make loans and grants to eligible owners and operators of regulated tanks for the purpose of financial project costs associated with the upgrade, closure and remediation of discharges from those tank systems.
