NJDEP will teach the seminar and be available throughout the program to answer related questions.

Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA)
Date: March 10, 2009, 9:00am-4:30pm

New Jersey's Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) was enacted to ensure that contaminated industrial properties are cleaned up quickly and efficiently. ISRA requires property owners to assess and remediate certain industrial properties before they can be sold or transferred. Although complying with ISRA can sometimes seem like a confusing and time-consuming effort, the NJDEP has developed a variety of time-saving procedures and review mechanisms to streamline the process. Do you know how to make them work for you? This comprehensive one-day course will give you the information you need to comply with ISRA and complete the transfer of your site as fast as possible. NJDEP staff will share their helpful suggestions for avoiding common mistakes that can delay the processing of your case. You'll explore the ISRA process from "A to Z," including these key topics:

  • Administrative Processing of ISRA Cases
  • Applicability
  • De Minimis Quantity Exemption
  • General Information Notice (GIN)
  • Expedited Reviews and Limited Site Reviews
  • Limited Conveyance
  • Remediation Agreements & Remediation Funding
  • Waivers: Remediation in Progress, Minimal Environmental Concern, Underground Storage Tank and Area of Concern

Who Should Attend?

Environmental Professionals; Consulting or Municipal Engineers; Representatives of Public Utilities and Development Authorities; Attorneys; Health Officers; Real Estate Professionals; Landscape Architects; Surveyors; Planners; Developers and Builders.
