NJDEP and DuPont Pompton Lakes Split Ground Water Sampling Data
Posted 30 December 2009

During the week of May 26, 2009 DuPont and NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) collected ground water samples from selected wells and sent the samples to separate laboratories for analysis. This table provides the results of the sampling.[pdf 15 Kb]

Summary

  • The analysis of the ground water samples collected by DuPont and the NJDEP are generally consistent with each other and consistent with previous ground water data submitted by DuPont.
  • These samples were analyzed for the full volatile organic scan instead of the 10 site specific parameters which DuPont usually analyzes. The results show that there are not any other compounds with concentrations above the Ground Water Quality Standards in the ground water besides the 10 volatile organic compounds that DuPont has routinely analyzed.
  • The NJDEP analyzed for isopropyl alcohol since it was identified in the vapor intrusion sampling at Lakeside School. Isopropyl alcohol was not found in the ground water.
