Providing Waterfront Access in Hoboken

Revitalizing Hobokenís waterfront along the Hudson River involves both public and private efforts to reclaim areas impacted by soil contamination from past commercial and industrial activity and provide access to pedestrians. Sinatra Park, top, provides opportunities for kayaking and canoeing and other recreational fun. The Castle Point Park redevelopment area, bottom, also will provide waterfront access after construction is complete. In addition, a new fishing pier is part of the Castle Point project that included working with historic fill.
