1. Notice of Administrative Corrections for "specially adopted rules" posted to NJDEP Web site

A Notice of Administrative Corrections pertaining to the specially adopted rules adopted by the Department on December 7, 2009 to implement the Site Remediation Reform Act has been published in the August 16, 2010 New Jersey Register (NJR). A courtesy copy of this Notice has been posted on the NJDEP Rules and Regulations website at https://www.nj.gov/dep/rules/adminchg/100816a.pdf. The corrections included in the Notice are needed to correct inaccurate rule citations and Web site addresses, and to correct typographical errors.

The SRP will be posting updated courtesy copies of the following rules to reflect the Notice of Administrative Corrections: Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (N.J.A.C. 7:26C), Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (N.J.A.C. 7:26E), Industrial Site Recovery Act Rules (N.J.A.C. 7:26B), Remediation Standards (N.J.A.C. 7:26D), and Underground Storage Tanks (N.J.A.C. 7:14B).

2. Technical Consultation

The Department has established a process to allow Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs) and remediating parties to meet with experienced DEP staff to ask site specific technical questions. This service is being offered for new cases (that have initiated remediation after November 4, 2009) or existing cases (initiated remediation before November 4, 2009) that have opted in to the LSRP program. Technical Consultation sessions will be held in face-to-face meetings to discuss technical issues related to the remediation of a site. These consultations will assist compliance with the Department's applicable Site Remediation rule requirements and technical guidance.
