    These one-day sessions are designed to familiarize practitioners and those associated with site remediation such as attorneys, property owners, developers, environmental advocates and government officials about the Site Remediation Reform Act and the new way of doing remedial business in New Jersey. The newly adopted regulations will be discussed in depth by the NJDEP officials who developed them.

    The NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) regulates Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) and requires the professionals who work on them to be trained, certified and recertified every three (3) years. Whether you are becoming certified for the first time or just need to recertify, you will get the regulatory information you need to stay current with New Jerseys UST requirements and help your clients or employer avoid potential penalty liability.
  • Innovative Technologies for Site Remediation

    Over the past decade, innovative technologies have been increasingly used to perform in situ treatment throughout NJ, reflecting an increased level of acceptance by the regulated community and regulators. Successful in situ remediation requires appropriate site characterization (soil and groundwater), knowledge of site geology/hydrogeology and the science underlying the various technologies. This one-day program will provide you with the basics of performing successful remediation using a variety of innovative in situ technologies as well as present "real" site data derived from actual innovative technologies projects.

This course fulfills the requirements for LSRP applicants to have completed a generally recognized course on NJDEPs technical guidance for site remediation.

LSRP Training Events

On November 2nd, the Department of Environmental Protection providied a detailed overview of the regulatory changes necessary to implement the Site Remediation Reform Act specifically for future LSRPs. Also, the LSRP Association and the Department will be providing additional training sessions through Rutgers in November and December.
