Each
year New Jersey publishes a Request for Proposals
(RfP) to solicit grant proposals for section
319(h) funds from eligible entries. This
RfP serves as a guidance document
which establishes criteria for projects based
on federal requirements and state priorities;
identifies specific administrative, procedural,
and programmatic requirements necessary for
applicants; and provides timetables for funding
processes and decisions. A notice is also
required to be published in the New Jersey
Register (N.J.R.) on 319(h) pass-through
grant availability for the state
fiscal year.
Below is the SFY
2007 RfP. This RfP requires
that all entities interested in applying for
Section 319(h) funds submit an Intent
to Apply Form by March 24, 2006. A web-based
version of this form is included below. Pre-application
meetings will then be scheduled with each potential
applicant to discuss project logistics by May
12, 2006 in order to be eligible to submit a
pre-proposal by the June 30, 2006 deadline.
