NEW JERSEY WATERSHED AMBASSADORS PROGRAM
Watershed Management Area 12
Monmouth
My name is Danielle Bloomer and I am the 2007-2008 New Jersey Watershed Ambassador for Watershed Management Area 12. I am based out of the Monmouth County Planning Board building in Freehold, New Jersey. The goals of this program are to educate students and community groups about their watershed, while focusing on nonpoint source pollution and how the public can get involved to help.
In May 2007, I graduated from Monmouth University with a Bachelors Degree in Marine and Environmental Biology and Policy. Through my studies, I have learned a great deal about the environment and why our watersheds are so important to us. With that knowledge and the training that has been provided to me, I am available to make presentations to any interested groups. The presentations are free and will help to give a better understanding of how the community and its watershed are related. I can also bring any interested groups out into the field and teach them how to complete a biological and visual assessment of a stream.
For any further information please do not hesitate to contact me. The programs, presentations, and assessment training are for any age group and I would love to help teach you more about your watershed. I am looking forward to this year and hopefully being able to help you make a difference in your watershed.
